Body Dysmorphia and Poor Body Image
Being 14 weeks pregnant, I’m starting to struggle with this again massively. It’s important to talk about and identify it from a spiritual perspective and see it for what it is. It's funny how you think you have something under control and then circumstances present themselves and you're humbled quickly by how little it takes to mess with our heads.
Have you ever stood in the mirror and picked yourself apart? Or maybe you felt thinner and on top of the world physically one day and then as "big as a whale" the next. Maybe you're lost a lot of weight and you still feel the same weight or you think you look the same as when you started. This is body dysmorphia.
Our purpose here? To glorify God. It’s not to look thin or cut or ripped. There’s nothing wrong with prioritizing health and taking steps to wellness but it can become an idol just like anything else.
